LEARN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT FUEL CLIENT, JACKIE EAGLE
I was born in Sudbury, MA and settled in West Newbury with my family this past Summer. I say “settled” because I/we have been on the move a lot, relocating for my parents’ jobs growing up and more recently for mine and my partner’s. After growing up in MA, WI, NH and PA, my husband and I met in Chicago after college. We bounced around from Chicago > Hong Kong > Sydney > Boston for different work opportunities and expat assignments. We spent the past 5 years in Chicago and moved “home” to New England this Summer.
I have 2 kids, a 6yo daughter in Kindergarten and a 4yo son in Preschool. We were eager to “plant some roots” closer to friends and family before primary school years and are loving being back on the East Coast with proximity to skiing, hiking and the beach – all things the kids (so far) enjoy! A family dog is probably in our very near future as the kids ask daily.
I attended the University of Pittsburgh for college where I studied International Business and Chinese. After many years in Consulting, I’ve spent the past ~10 years working in pre-Series A Tech Startups where I love building with small teams in fast-paced, flexible environments. I’m in the midst of moving from Marketing Tech to EdTech which has been a fun learning opportunity.
My husband and kids recently secured their Italian citizenship through lineage and in my down time, I’m starting to learn Italian so I can apply for citizenship in a few years. Maybe not the most useful language in today’s environment, but perhaps we’ll live overseas again, invest in property, or the kids choose go to college in Europe — thinking about future options is fun and helps motivate me to stick with it 🙂
TBH – before moving to the area, I researched Fuel and decided “I want to belong to that gym.” After playing lots of tennis and soccer through college, in early momhood, I turned to yoga and marathon training/running. I enjoyed the solitude with days spent on Zoom, but recently wanted a community and more opportunity for strength training, something I’ve always shied away from. Fuel has been exactly what I need at this stage in my fitness journey. The early morning circuit classes are my favorites, I love being out the door, back and showered, feeling strong and accomplished before the rest of the house even wakes up!
