Summer’s almost here, and that means one thing in Newburyport – Yankee Homecoming is around the corner! Get ready for one of the most exciting weeks of the year and train for the Annual Yankee Homecoming 5K with Fuel coach Lisa Angelini.
New to running, getting back into it, or just looking for a group to keep you motivated? This is the club for you. Lisa will lead a variety of run training sessions to help you achieve your personal 5K goal. This group is perfect for beginner to moderate runners, but everyone is welcome. There’s no pace pressure – just good
company and good runs.
All Run Club members will receive 5 classes added to their accounts on the day they sign up. This allows you to take any class on the Fuel Schedule for the duration of your time in the run club. This is a great cross-training activity that will help strengthen your runs.
10 Run Training Classes
5 Indoor Classes…WOW, now that’s a deal!
Runs will begin at Metzy’s Parking Lot.
What’s in it for you?
Accountability (because running buddies > solo alarms)
Running partners to meet up with outside of club runs
A fun, welcoming Fuel Run Team vibe that’ll keep you coming back
Lisa Angelini- Coach
One of Fuel’s original members, Lisa, began teaching Fuel fitness classes upon the opening of the Graf Road studio. It was during lockdown that she and her cousin decided to become “runners”. Immediately signing up for the Key West half marathon, she understood that training was a must. Luckily, Fuel offered half-marathon training led by Phil Bean and Meagan King. Intimidated, yes, but excited for the challenge.
The camaraderie, group runs, and “solving the world’s problems” during these runs are what made her a believer: although running is a solo sport, having that group support made it fun. With many half marathons and 5K’s under her belt, she hopes to engage others to strap on their sneakers and enjoy the sport.
